Historically, autoplay was allowed on Desktop browsers and not. If Dropbox will not remedy this basic failure to consult, then I will reluctantly uninstall and find a more reliable platform, and take as many of my contacts with me as I can. In recent years, web browsers have been defining stricter policies regarding video autoplay. A website Im working on at the moment is using the autoplay video feature but unfortunately it will not autoplay on iPhone and I cannot figure out why. So now I am taking the trouble to register and log the issue here because, for me, this is a deal-breaker. Only it is still doing it as far as I can make out, this happens every time I reboot. A bug as serious as that won't take long to be fixed. Apparently other people have been bugged and caught out by this as long ago as 2017. And then it happened again I rectified it quicker this time, and looked it up. I have legally privileged information on some of my drives, so Dropbox would be in a compromised position if it had been stealing my data unbidden. I was shocked, and changed it right back to 'Open folder to view files (File Explorer)'. The reason? Somehow my autoplay settings had been changed to say 'Import stuff (Dropbox)'. If not, then type the following in the address bar of the Firefox. Allow Audio and Video in Permissions Settings of AutoPlay in Firefox Now check if the AutoPlay issue of YouTube is resolved. At some point I noticed that Windows was not opening File Explorer when I inserted a USB disk. Open Permissions Settings of AutoPlay of Firefox Then open the drop-down box of Default for All Websites and select the option of Allow Audio and Video. ![]()
